Welcome to the Church of The Apostles
We are a congregation of people who, like the early Apostles and members of the earliest church, our lives have been so dramatically changed by the Lord Jesus Christ we long to love Him more and make Him known. We have experienced ourselves the veracity of the message proclaimed by Christ and then by His Apostles that through faith in Christ we forever become God’s children (John 1:12; Romans 8:16). We celebrate that our Heavenly Father sees none of His children as an only child, but that by His great love He places us in Church Family, to share life, to love and be loved, and to join with one another in Worship and service. In this Church Family …
- We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:13-18; John 3:16).
- We seek and rely on the Power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).
- We agree that the Holy Scriptures comprised of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, authoritative, and infallible Word of God written, so we preach and study and prayerfully apply His Word to daily living (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 4:1-4)
- We are committed to living out this three-fold purpose together: Loving God, Loving Others, and Making Disciples as We Go (Matthew 22:34-40; Matthew 18:16-20).
Church of The Apostles respects the rich diversity of the Body of Christ. We enjoy partnership and sweet fellowship with Churches of various theological and denominational perspectives who share with us the same trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the same reliance on the Holy Scriptures as our standard for faith and practice. Church of the Apostles is a member of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC) (www.ccccusa.com), a fellowship of ministers and churches who like us are committed to the basic tenets of historic Biblical Christianity including the authority of Holy Scripture, and who respect the autonomy of each local church under the Headship of Jesus Christ.
Church of the Apostles is Evangelical and Anglican. We are an autonomous Christian Congregation under the Headship of Christ, rooted in the doctrinal and liturgical tradition of the Anglican family of Churches. Weekly celebrations of the Holy Eucharist help us ensure that worship of the Lord includes a balance of biblical ministries of Word and Sacrament.
There are many opportunities to connect and learn and grow and serve here. All of these are to glorify God and accomplish the purposes He has given us. Welcome to Church of The Apostles! Come for a visit. Come to stay. Give us a call. We would love to grow with you as together we grow in Christ.
In Christ’s love and service,
The Rev. Dr. Stephen A. Gammon
